Designing The Design Center

January 13th, 2009

Watching these three people trying to design a new display for the design center forced me to pull out the camera so you can see what I have to watch. This little informal meeting happened about one second after I told them my plans for the design center. The new cabinets have not been discussed yet but they already have decided on a Quartz counter top wit tumbled stone back splash. How about someone sending me some comments telling us what kind of cabinets?

I really like oak and cherry woods, but I think you already have both of those well covered. Maybe pine with a light finish?

I don’t like to use pine but we do have a lot of alder and knotty alder in the store that can be a close finish to the pine.

Alder would work. I was just thinking of adding variety so folks could see something other than what you already have.

The other woods that we are using that are not well represented in our store are the reclaimed antique woods talk about variety and the ultimite in going green.
