Quartz counter tops are a very good way at going green. The counters come from ground up quartz that are. The material then is mixed with resin binders to make up the top, 93% quartz,7% binders.The tops are harder than granite, never need to be resealed are impervious to heat and are warrantied. There is wide variety of colors that are on the market. New colors with veining in it are on the way. There is no waste in the manufacturing product thus making this a eco friendly counter top. I don’t know if you could say quartz contertops are eco-friendly because there is no waste. A better arguement might be that they ae green friendly because most brands have earned greenguard certification. Zodiaq also has come out with 4 new colors that besides quartz also are made up of 50% recycled glass. pretty cool
