In January we did a post of a camp in San Diego County that lost a few buildings in the angel fire 07. retuning-for-more
This photo shows the new set of parts that will make up the new bunk system for the camp. Made out of knotty pine this was a little different for us than we had expected. The biggest problem was that it was pine and pine is the worst when it comes to pitch. The pitch was so heavy in this load that we had to change belts on the drum sander 4 times and clean blades and cutters a couple of times, this is why we shy away from working with pine. Well the bunks will look great after the contractor installs them.

Pine furniture is one of the best. Gives an attractive look.

I would agree if the project was out of old growth or reclaimed wood.
